Rocket City Coatings

A garage floor you can drop a floor jack on

We install concrete coatings the way an engineer would spec them: a Simiron polyurea base coat, a full Torginol flake broadcast, and a polyaspartic topcoat that doesn't yellow at the garage door line. One day on the tools. 15-year written warranty.

And if a coating's the wrong call for your space, we'll say so — we polish concrete too, and we'd rather point you at the no-coating option than sell you the wrong floor.

Spec-sheet honest

Most coating quotes around here name zero products. You get "commercial-grade epoxy," a price, and a handshake. Then August humidity pushes moisture up through the slab and the whole thing peels at the seams.

We do it differently. Every quote names the products going on your floor, the mil thickness of each layer, and the cure schedule for that week's weather. The table's right there. Hold us to it.

Slab sweating through spring? That's vapor transmission, and it's why our base coat is moisture-tolerant polyurea, not bargain epoxy.

Built for this climate, not a catalog

Red clay tracks in from every yard between here and Athens. Pollen season dusts everything yellow for six weeks. And the Parkway commute parks two hot tires on your garage floor every evening at 5:40 — which is exactly how cheap coatings die. The products we install were picked against those three problems, in that order.

We work from Hampton Cove to Harvest, Five Points bungalows to new builds in Madison. Each service area page covers what we actually see in that city's slabs — age, finish quality, and what fails there first.

How much does a coated garage floor cost in Huntsville?
Most 2-car garages land between $2,000 and $3,800 installed — that's the full system, prep included. The spread depends on square footage and how much crack repair your slab needs. We publish our full garage coating pricing breakdown so you can ballpark it before you ever call.
What exactly do you put on the floor?
Three named products, in order: a Simiron polyurea base coat, a full broadcast of Torginol vinyl flake, and an aliphatic polyaspartic topcoat. We publish the whole stack on the Rocket City System page — products, mil thickness, cure times. If a contractor won't name their materials, ask yourself why.
Do you do anything besides garages?
Yes — concrete polishing is half our work. Warehouses, retail floors, and houses where someone wants the slab itself to be the finished floor. We're the only local company that installs both polished concrete and coatings, which means when we tell you which one your space needs, it isn't a sales pitch.
How fast can you actually do it?
One day on the tools for most garages. You'll walk on it the next morning and park on it in 24–48 hours, depending on temperature and humidity. August in Huntsville cures slower than October — we'll tell you the real number for your week, not the brochure number.
